Arc'teryx Knee Cap Pads January 25, 2019

I would not recommend these for firearms training where the shooter quickly drops to a knee(s).  There is little protection coverage on the bottom where the knee touches the ground.  There is good protection of the patella (knee cap), but that is not the primary location which absorbs the blow of dropping down.  My understanding (which means I could be wrong) is that these were designed for ice climbing, not other purposes.  Additionally, I am a big guy (250 lbs) and the straps are barely long enough if I tug on them.

However, Arms Unlimited rates 5 stars for fair prices, easy order processing, and quick and free shipping.

Man these things are incredibly confortable, and they stay with my knees while I am crawling around in peoples attics and crawl spaces. Oh yeah, they're great for the range too.
